About Sonya Mehta
Sonya Mehta is a Liberatory Leadership Coach and Fundraising Strategist, driven by the core values of Healing, Justice, and Liberation. She loves working with soulful entrepreneurs, and is dedicated to unlocking and expanding possibilities in all spaces. Her work focuses on empowering leaders to connect deeply with their soul’s purpose, build sustainable and thriving businesses, and prioritize their own wellbeing.
After starting her career as a classroom teacher in east Oakland, Sonya then went on to help build a national organization focused on educator wellbeing, sustainability, and retention. These values continue to infuse all of her work today. In addition to being the founder of Metamorphosis Path Coaching & Consulting, she is also the Director of Partnerships at the Embrace Incubator, which is a hub for holistically supporting social entrepreneurs, spiritual innovators, and healing justice practitioners.
As a fundraising strategist, Sonya partners with nonprofits and fiscally sponsored projects to develop customized, relationship-oriented donor engagement plans. These plans integrate ecosystem mapping and strategic networking to build warm relationships with funders, to support organizations to enhance their revenue through multi-year philanthropic investments. Through these efforts over the last 6 years, she has successfully raised over $1.5 million for nonprofits focused on healing and justice.
A strong advocate for collaboration and sustainability, Sonya has also guided 12 solopreneur leaders in expanding their teams, helping them hire executive assistants and enhance their delegation skills. This support allows these leaders to concentrate on high-level strategic decisions and truly step into their roles as CEOs of their businesses.
